Project Arthropoda (Plus)

My most consistent artistic endeavor has been the photography of insects, spiders, and other creatures found on nature hikes. Since the early 2000s, I have sunk deep in mud and wandered far into lush woods to find creatures hidden from common view. The following is a minute sampling of tens of thousands of photographs I have captured, primarily of insects, but occasionally of herons, turtles, snakes, and other wildlife on these meditative and nurturing journeys.
